The 523 was returned to Jersey to have the firmware flashed and hose keeper replaced. I spoke with Jim on Friday regarding the set, it will be returned to rotation this week. Maineiac is the Administrator for tracking and logistics on these instruments Ted - I know there are at least 2 in line for the 523, but he will get you in line as well.

Not sure of the language, however, the new printer will work with all testo equipment line 523, 556, 327, 330, 110, ect. I have not tried it with any other brands.

The old 523 has data logging and not printing, the new 523 has printing and no data logging.

Can you find out?

I need to know baud rate:
Baud rate 115200, 57600, 38400, 19200, 9600, 4800, 2400,1200, 600, 300

Handshaking:
Handshaking DTR, X-on/X-off

And IRDA:
IrDA HP-Ir, IrDA-Sir

If you can't find out, I'll play with it until it works. It makes it a little easier if you could find out though. Very Happy

You've heard the expression, I could tell ya......but then I'd have to kill ya? Mr. Green That's pretty much the stance Testo proper assumes with the langauge data that the IR printer uses.

I can tell you that the baud rate is 9600. I do know from previous discussions here with Jim that the Testo Ir printer [05540547] complies with the IRDA Protocol - however the technology utilized by this printer relevant to infrared is proprietary Testo engineering documentation.

I suspect perhaps you are interested in interfacing with a PDA or similar communication device? I can tell you from experience the IRDA is compatible with the PDA.

Don't give up yet though. I have a relatively high placed connection in the Testo Germany technical department to whom I have sent an email to see if we can determine the remaining information you need. I suspect they [Germany] do not want the printer tweaked to facilitate communication to anything without the orange circle on it. Wink

I haven't had much of a chance to play with it since we just had a baby, she kinda takes up all my free time.

I appreciate what you can do though. The baud rate does help a lot, less things to change. Very Happy

Yea I would suspect you are correct ND -and I don't have too many complaints about the level of technical data Testo provides freely either.
