| Thanks Behappy for the instruction sheet & the LED flashlight I hooked it to my keys as soon as I got it out of the box. I tried it and thought the batteries were dead and found the plastic disk when I checked what size they were. That thing is really bright. Thanks again. |

Another day that I did not get to hook the JBs to a ac unit. The weather did not turn toward the warmer side today as they predicted 70° but just barely broke 50° and rained all day. However I have had time to play with them while sitting in my favorite chair.
I actually like the feel of the manifold valves they seem to open easy & smoothly. The knobs are comfortable to my battered hands as well. I would prefer 4 valves though as I'm use to the isolation options that 4 allows. I like the sight glass on a manifold as well.
Selecting refrigerants was difficult at first especially if I pushed too rapidly and passed the one I was wanting. I did find that, if I was to pass my refrigerant number, a short pause in pushing the button would change the direction of scrolling so I could get back without scrolling through the whole list.
I am a little concerned about dirt or something falling inside the small temp sensor jack holes when the jacks are not plugged in. It would be very rare but I expect possible. I don't know if it would effect anything or not.
My first impressions w/o actually using the JBs are favorable. I am looking forward to hooking these to one of the units that I will be doing hopefully soon. |

Thanks trip. The second generation DM-4 will be mounted on the 4 valve Zeppelin, and I also like the manifold on the DM-2, but suspect the Zeppelin will be a tremendous improvement. Plugs for the sensor ports is a good recommendation, IMHO - perhaps the powers that be at J/B will be made aware of that recommendation. The refrigerant selection scroll was frustrating for me as well, it is my understanding that issue has been addressed in the DM-4. We should be able to put it into rotation very soon. _________________
